Overview

Into the wild heart of Osa

Two unforgettable days in Corcovado National Park, departing from Sierpe de Osa, with an overnight stay at Sirena Biological Station. A scenic boat ride through the Térraba-Sierpe mangroves and along the Pacific coast, guided morning and afternoon hikes in search of tapirs, monkeys, sloths, toucans and scarlet macaws, and a night with the sounds of the rainforest.

FIELD SCHEDULE

Itinerary

Day 1 — Sierpe to Sirena Station

  • 5:00 AM — Departure from Sierpe: meet at Restaurante Las Vegas
  • 5:00–7:15 AM — Scenic boat journey through the Térraba-Sierpe mangroves and across the Pacific Ocean
  • 7:15 AM — Arrival at Playa Sirena: disembark and get ready for the rainforest
  • 7:45–11:30 AM — Guided wildlife hike on the trails of Sirena with your certified naturalist guide
  • 12:00 PM — Lunch at Sirena Station and some time to relax
  • 1:30–5:30 PM — Afternoon wildlife exploration in the rainforest
  • 6:00 PM — Dinner and overnight stay at Sirena Biological Station

Day 2 — Sirena Wildlife Hikes & Return to Sierpe

  • 5:00–7:00 AM — Sunrise wildlife hike in the early morning hours
  • 7:00 AM — Breakfast at Sirena Station
  • 8:00–11:30 AM — Guided rainforest hike: more of Sirena’s trails and wildlife
  • 11:30 AM — Lunch before departure
  • 12:45 PM — Return boat trip from Playa Sirena toward Sierpe
  • 2:45–3:00 PM — Arrival in Sierpe, end of the tour
