The hike from La Leona to Sirena Ranger Station covers approximately 18 kilometers and usually takes 6 to 8 hours, depending on pace and wildlife encounters.
The trail takes you through a variety of ecosystems: lush primary rainforest, scenic river crossings, and open coastal stretches. Along the way, you may encounter monkeys, sloths, colorful birds, reptiles, and more.
Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, appropriate hiking shoes, insect repellent, and a strong sense of adventure.

Day 1: Hike to Sirena Station.
🟢 5:20 AM – Meet your guide at the designated location in Puerto Jiménez.
🟢 Travel by 4×4 vehicle to Carate, the starting point of the hike.
🟢 Begin your 6–8 hour trek through rainforest and beach.
🟢 Stop for fresh coconut water on the trail.
🟢 Arrive at Sirena Station by sunset.
🟢 Enjoy a well-earned dinner and rest in the heart of the jungle.
Day 2: Morning Walk & Boat Ride Back.
